A Green Revolution on Kimberley High Street.

Nottinghamshire town goes green with new living walls.

We're thrilled to announce the installation of three vibrant living walls on Kimberley High Street. This exciting project, a collaboration between ourselves Ought2 and the Kimberley Town Council, is funded by the Levelling Up Grant, marking a significant step towards enhancing the town's biodiversity and community well-being.

Living wall in nottingham

Bringing Nature to the Heart of Kimberley

These living walls aren't just visually stunning; they're buzzing with life. Each wall houses wildlife hotels, providing essential habitats for birds, bees, and butterflies. By integrating native plant species, we've created mini ecosystems that support local wildlife and promote ecological balance.

Why Living Walls?

Boosting Biodiversity:

Native Plants: Carefully selected to support diverse species, these plants offer food and shelter for urban wildlife.

Wildlife Hotels: Designed specifically to accommodate insects and birds, encouraging natural pollination and pest control.

Environmental Benefits:

Air Quality Improvement: Plants naturally filter pollutants, leading to cleaner air.

Temperature Regulation: Living walls help reduce the urban heat island effect, making our town cooler and more comfortable.

Community Impact:

Aesthetic Appeal: The walls add beauty and a sense of nature to our urban landscape, transforming the High Street into a more inviting space.

A Collaborative Effort

This project represents a successful partnership between ourselves a local Nottingham business, the Kimberley Town Council, and local residents. The Levelling Up Grant has been instrumental in making this vision a reality, demonstrating the power of community collaboration.

We invite everyone to visit Kimberley High Street and experience the living walls first-hand.

The living walls are just the beginning. We hope to inspire further green initiatives throughout Kimberley, creating a more sustainable and vibrant future for all.

Together, let's continue to nurture our town and make it a haven for both people and wildlife. Visit Kimberley High Street and witness the transformation today!
